Pirelli to expand Romania plant production by 50%

ROMANIA: Pirelli is set to invest some ?200 million in its Slatina production site in Romania, through 2021, the company announced 30 Sept. The amount will bring the total investment in the country to ?740 million with 500 new jobs created. It will also bring annual production capacity up to 15 million units, from the present 10 million. The factory's floorspace will be extended to 260,000 sq.m from the present 210,000.
