The quality assessment adopted by Pirelli in its High Quality SRF production plant

Due to its chemical and physical properties, mercury has been recognized at European level as the key environmental parameter for SRF. The needs of SRF final users to partially substitute primary fuels with alternative ones and, at the same time, to comply with strict environmental legislative prescriptions, constrained SRF producers to constantly improve the quality and environmental performances of their product. With the aim to best control its production process, Pirelli has established a statistical method that, starting from a suitable number of assays available, allows the monitoring of the process.
