UKRAINE/RUSSIA: The continuing crisis in war-torn eastern Ukraine and the related EU commercial sanctions on Russia have taken a toll on the results of tire manufacturers and their suppliers - though there is some variation in views about the fallout. Among the most exposed companies is Nokian Tyres, which reported a net sales drop of 9.4 percent in its first-half 2014 results due to weak demand in Russia and the Ukrainian crisis.
