Guayule wet suits and the challenges of sustainability

Arizona/California-In a water-soaked Californian epiphany, an American design guru, learning to surf, discovered that wet suits were simply not up to the task. Todd Copeland, who worked at the Patagonia clothing company, concluded a traditional Neoprene suit could keep him relatively warm, but the suit's material could be synthesised only from non-renewable, energy-intensive resources such as petroleum or kiln-baked limestone fillers.
