Cabot adds yet more carbon black at Tianjin

Tianjin,China - Cabot Corp will build a new speciality carbon black unit at its plant in the Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Area (TEDA).Cabot Performance Products (Tianjin) Co.Ltd,a joint venture with Shanghai Coking Chemical Co.will invest nearly us30 million (euro24 million) to build thespecial blacks unit,with annual capacity of about 20 kilotonnes.The unit is set to begin production in the second half of 2006.
