Proximal h inner us fracture with a pink, pulseless arm in a teenage boy and literature review

摘要

Proximal humeral fractures associated with vascular compromise are extremely rare in children. We describe the presentation, diagnosis and management of one such injury in a child.Proximal humeral fractures with concomitant vascular or neurological injuries have been well described in adults. To the best of our knowledge, there is only one published case report of a child presenting with a proximal humeral fracture and pulseless arm [1]. In this published case, the Salter Harris II fracture was reduced, and the thrombosed axillary artery necessitated an interposition reverse vein graft.
