For some men, the thought of walking through aisles of women's fragrances and make-up to get to the products they want is precisely what puts them off going in store at all. As a result, some retailers have been exploring the possibility of putting products in areas that men do feel comfortable in. Nordstrom, the upscale US department store, has been moving its male grooming products from the beauty area into the male furnishing part of the store in a bid to put their male customers at greater ease when buying products. Trained sales assistants are also on hand to guide men that might be confused by the layout or the products in these areas.
