Dow Coating Materials launches a rheology modifier "Acrysol DR-110". This new HASE offers the architectural paint formulators a cost-effective alternative to hydrophobical-ly-modified hydroxyethyl cellulose (HMHEC). The modifyer enables thickening for a full range of waterborne latex coatings, from flat to semi-gloss and across all binder types. It is manufactured without added solvent or the use of APEO surfactants. It is available in a high-solid, all-liquid form that can be added during any stage of paint making, including the letdown.
