A GAP in understanding

I'd like to address DVM Dave Sjeklocha's May article in regard to Whole Foods and the Global Animal Partnership (GAP) ratings the chain utilizes in its stores ("Whole Foods Welfare Ratings Have Big Credibility Gap"). I'm a fourth-generation farmer andrancher; my father and brother are both large-animal veterinarians. Several years ago, we started a natural beef company called Premium Natural Beef (PNB). The ideas behind this concept included: We were seeking a way to sustain our rural way of life for our families and those in our community.
