The soil cover and soil properties of gully catchments in the central chernozemic region

摘要

Soil diagnostic features and peculiarities of the soil cover patterns in catchment areas of balkas (flat-bottomed gullies) in the central chernozemic zone are characterized. The differentiation of elementary soil-forming and erosion-accumulation processes by the elements of meso- and microtopography is shown. The regularities of changes in soil properties and the soil cover patterns in different geomorphic conditions on the right bank of the Don River in the middle reaches are revealed.
