摘要

The effect of artificially planted tree species on the soil water budget has been studied in the northern Caspian region. It is shown that an inexhaustible hydrological regime (the water loss with evapotranspiration, runoff, and infiltration does not exceed the water supply) can be achieved under forest strips on meadowchestnut soils in mesodepressions owing to the minimization of infiltration water losses.
