The coupled study of chernozems in the Donets Basin using contact andremote techniques

An algorithm was developed for the interpretation of multispectral SPOT scanning of chernozems with different contents of humus and physical clay in a geographic information system (GIS). Regression models describing the correlation between humus and physical clay were calculated from the image brightness and analytical data. The results obtained were used to compose electronic soil maps.
