摘要

an increase in water reserves of a light loamy soddy-podzolic soil can be achieved by means of snow retention via soil furrowing in the fall combined with the creationof the strips with shoveled off snow before the snowmelt season to enhance water infiltration in the spring.The infiltration rate increases by two to three times due to an accelerated soil thawing along these strips.The resulting increase in the soil watr reserves is equal to 70-95mm.The gain in the oats harvest from these measrues varies from 0.2 to 0.85 t/ha.The snow-melt runoff is shown to depend on weather of a paritcular year.
