NYK LauritzenCool (NYKLC) may be one of the biggest names in the reefer industry, but as its CEO and president Mats Jansson tells Steven Maxwell, it is facing difficulties finding shipyards to build new vessels. Recent months have seen a great deal ofmovement - in a very literal sense -within NYKLC. The shipping firm threw a party for several hundred guests, complete with caviar canapes and Scandanavian bottled beers, last November to celebrate the opening of its new offices in Stockholm. The shipping firm's co-owners- NYK of Japan -were in attendance in the form of a delegation from NYK Reefers, and the new ownership of NYKLC was underlined by the prevalence of sushi at the event.
