Since its humble beginnings operating from a barrow in the heart of London's east end, Reynolds Catering Supplies has fought its way up to become a multi-million pound national distribution business. IT is not often that the fruit trade throws up a genuine 'rags to riches' yarn, but the story of UK foodservice provider Reynolds Catering Supplies is about as close as it gets. Having started life on a pitch at Ridley Road Market in London's east end, followed by a stint at both Old and New Spitalfields Markets, third generation, family-run Reynolds now operates from a national distribution centre in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, and in 17 years has achieved a forecasted turnover of £85m (123m EUR) for 2006.
