Comparative study of traditional medical knowledge of Pondicherry and Karaikal regions in Union Territory of Pondicherry

摘要

Comparative study of ethnomedicinal knowledge possessed by the Traditional Medical Practitioners (IMP) of Pondicherry and Karaikal regions reveals that 67 plant species belonging to 63 genera and 43 families are used by these villagers for healthcare.The findings confirmed the principles already established in Traditional Medical Knowledge.
