Reduce disposal costs and recover raw materials in an ecologically friendly way

Saudi Aramco moves 9.4 million b of raw petroleum every day (2013). From the well to storage and transport, from the refinery to further processing of the oil, huge amounts of oil sludge and oily wastewater are produced. To ensure ecologically effective treatment, the wastewater must be separated into its main components of oil, water, and solids. Recovery of the oil phase and the high-quality separation of the water phase from the solids permits specific treatment and cost-effective disposal.
