The oil & gas industry is gradually expanding its domain within drilling engineering. A key skill is the ability to drill well sections where there is a narrow margin between the pore and fracturing pressure. Typical examples of such sections are mature fields and deep water reservoirs, where either a high pore pressure or a weak formation causes the small margin.
