Nearly 700 Renewable Initiatives Funded in 2010: Report

A study done by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that nearly 700 renewable energy initiatives were implemented in fiscal year 2010. Of the 23 agencies and 130 subagencies reviewed, the GAO found the Departments of Defense (DOD), Agriculture (USDA), Energy (DOE) and the Interior were collectively responsible for nearly 60% of all renewable energy initiatives.
