At 42, Calva is short and strong, showing age in the lines around his face and on his neck near the collar of his T-shirt. Calva comes to Lee Circle nearly every morning at 7 and waits, his T-shirt smartly tucked into belted khaki shorts with a cell phone holstered to his waist.
