A key to 57 species of Microchelonus with yellow abdominal spots from the western Palaearctic Region is provided. Thirty new species are described: Microchelonus acutiusculus (Uzbekistan), M. albomacula (Czech Republic), M. calligoni (Turkmenistan),M. cyprensis and M. cypri (Cyprus), M. erdosi (Cyprus, Syria, Israel), M. falkovitshi and M. ferganicus (Uzbekistan), M. ferulae (Kazakhstan), M. flavoscaposus (Italy), M. hispanicus (Spain), M. iranicus (Iran), M. istriensis (Slovenia), M. jordanicus (Jordan), M. juldashevi (Uzbekistan), M. kazenasi (Kazakhstan), M. kermakeae (Kirghizia), M. klugei and M. lissocephalus (Kazakhstan), M. microphamosus (Bosnia and Herzegovina), M. myartsevae (Turkmenistan), M. pesenkoi (Kazakhstan), M. przewalskii (Kirghizia), M. subbasalis (Turkmenistan), M. subelaeaphilus (Kazakhstan), M. tadzhicus (Tajikistan), M. tersakkanicus (Kazakhstan), M. testaceus (Turkmenistan), M. tunetensis (Tunisia), and M. xanthoscaposus (Syria) spp. n.
