摘要

This study was conducted with randomly selected 100 tribal women from Simtuni, Lalpurburudy, Panra, and Phulberia in Manbazar II block of Purulia district, West Bengal, India. Information related to the distribution of some demographic and socio-personal characteristics of tribal women engaged in animal husbandry practices was collected through a structured pre-tested interview schedule and processed by percentage analysis. Results indicated that most of the landless Hindu Santhal women belong to labour group of occupation and were involved in animal husbandry. Though they were not exposed to mass media and to any training on animal husbandry practices, they were still interested to start market-oriented enterprise on animal husbandry..
