The rare bee genus Chiasmognathus Engel in Arabia Felix (Hymenoptera: Apidae)

A new record of the rare cleptoparasitic bee genus Chiasmognathus Engel (Nomadinae: Ammobatini) is provided, representing only the second documented occurrence for Arabia Felix (Yemen). The new material consists of a single male collected in Sana'a and is similar to Chiasmognathus himyarensis Engel, known from a female collected in the coastal plain not far from Aden. Given differences in integumental sculpturing, pubescence, and their extremely divergent habitats, the male is not considered conspecific with C. himyarensis and is described as C. sabaicus, sp. n.
