Heat treatment firm claims a solvent emissions first

TTI Group, which was formerly Senior Heat Treatment, is claiming to be the first heat treatment company in the UK to comply with the solvents emissions directive (SED). The directive aims to reduce direct and indirect effects of volatile organic chemicals (VOC) released into the atmosphere. TTI has installed a hermetically sealed solvent degreasing system from EVT Eiberger Pfohler at its West Bromwich plant, which it says has a capacity equal to plants that use the solvent spray and vapour process.
