State-owned Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the holding Company of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) successfully added one more laurel to its array of accreditations by achieving record sales of Rsl294 crores during the period April-May 2007 registering an impressive growth of 21 percent over Rsl068 crores of the corresponding period Elast year. The largest supplier of special steel- SAIL, brought home the bacon with sales of its value added steel products reaching 1.87 lakh tonnes in April- May'07, catapulting the company's growth curve to a logging 62 percent rise over the reviewed period last year. RINL's special steel founds pioneering use in the manufacturing of Elastic Railway Clips (ERC), which is used for fastening the Railway track to the railway sleepers by the Indian Railways.
