摘要

Fluid flow inside a continuous slab casting mould has been investigated using both water model experiments and numerical simulation methods. First the kappa-epsilon model is used to obtain a time-averaged velocity field to learn about the basic flow pattern; then the LBS method is performed to analyze instantaneous flow behavior. Simulation results have been compared and validated by experimental data. Results show that flow patterns in the mould change with time, and that the jet swing interacts with recirculation zones.
