CR makers suffer due to high HR prices

Escalating exports of hot rolled coils have adversely affected the cold rolled manufacturers, as there is a supply shortage of 1.5 million tonnes of HR products for the ongoing financial year. CR manufacturers largely depend on HR coils for production purposes. HR prices have also been hiked by 30 per cent in the course of time, which has added to the problems of the CR manufacturers.
