Iraq’s oil ministry said crude exports from its southern terminals rose to a new record rate of 3.36mn b/d in April. Iraq exported 100.9mn bl last month, according to preliminary data from the federal government’s oil ministry, just below March’s total of 101.9mn bl. The March figure was just above the previous outright record of 101.8mn bl set in January. Preliminary Argus tracking data shows Iraq exported 101.4mn bl in April, which would put the monthly rate even higher than the oil ministry’s data, at 3.38mn b/d. Tracking data show the breakdown at 2.65mn b/d of Basrah Light and 727,000 b/d of Basrah Heavy exports.
