Liaoyang eyes '06 for PTA

Liaoyang Petrochemical aims to start up its 530 000 tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) project in Liaoyang,Liaoning,China,in early 2006,said a company source.Its startup date was earlier unclear.The project,which was approved by the government earlier this year,will boost the PetroChina subisidary's PTA capacity to 800 000 tonne/year (ACN 9 July 2001).
