Microwave energy for mineral treatment process: a brief review

摘要

The review is a brief account of R & D resultsgenerated from microwave-assisted mineral treatments tests.The R & D results demonstrate that microwave energy haspotential in mineral treatment and metal recovery operationssuch as heating, drying, carbothermic reduction of oxideminerals, leaching, roasting/smelting, pretreatment of refractorygold ore and concentrate, spent carbon regeneration and waste management.
