The Smart Meter Central Delivery Body (SMCDB), the independent body set up to lead consumer engagement activity around the roll out of smart meters in the UK, is about to embark on a major communications campaign to educate energy customers about smart meters. A multi-channel communications campaign will start later this year and the group has approached advertising agencies to pitch for an £85m, five-year national engagement campaign.
