Valecha lines up power, real estate forays

Mumbai-based Valecha Engineering Ltd (VEL), which operates in roads and foundation engineering sectors, is readying for a foray into the power and real estate sectors. Jagdish Valecha, managing director, said, the company is looking to move up the value chain and plans to have interests in real estate and power as well in three years. It also plans to start bidding for build-oper-ate transfer (BOT) projects and enter into development of strategic airport projects. "This will take the number of our new initiatives to four." said Valecha.
