Nigeria leaves Bakassi

The first stage in Nigeria's handover of the disputed oil-rich Bakassi peninsula to Cameroon is due to take place with a ceremony shortly.Nigerian troops will complete their withdrawal and transfer the northern part of the territory.The rest of the peninsula will remain under Nigerian civil administration for the next two years, in line with an International Court of Justice ruling.
