Indonesia plans to offer 27 oil and gas blocks to oil and gas firms next month, with a mixture of a regular licensing round and direct block bidding. “We will put the 27 blocks on offer in March. We will open 17 new blocks via direct bidding and 10 blocks will be offered in the regular bidding process. Many local and foreign investors have submitted preliminary bids,” oil and gas director Iin Arifin Takhyan was quoted as saying by Xinhua, suggesting the interest of Chinese players.
