Queue starts for Devon assets

China's CNOOC and Sinochem have said they will join the competition for the West African oil and gas assets of Devon Energy in a deal that could reach US 2 Bn.The South China Morning Post cited sources as saying CNOOC and Sinochem are preparing to bid separately for the assets, competing with other bidders including, Tullow Oil, India's ONGC and Swiss firm Addax Petroleum.
