The Charity, Electrical Safety First, is hopeful its call for regular electrical safety checks in the Private Rented Sector (PRS) in Wales is set to be introduced as a result of the new Renting Homes (Wales) Act, which recently received Royal Assent. Commenting on the Act, Phil Buckle, Director General of Electrical Safety First, said that this Act, which is one of the most significant pieces of legislation to be passed by the National Assembly for Wales, brings clarity to housing legislation and additional protection for those living in rented accommodation.
