Petrobras has now formally entered into a letter of intent with Norway's Sevan Marine for the use of the floating production contractor's SSP 300 FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) concept, under a long-term contract on its deepwater Piranema field off the northeast coast of Brazil.
