Cubans buy Angola equity

Australia's Roc Oil will sell a 5% stake in the Cabinda Onshore South Block in Angola to Cuba's state-owned Cuba Petroleo (Cupet). Roc will be free-carried by operator Pluspetrol, following a farm-out announced in April, and Cupet, through the full 2009 work programme and budget, including the testing of the Coco-1 discovery and the drilling of the Castanha-1 exploration well.
