Sevan wins out on Goliat

Eni has picked the Sevan 1000 FPSO to tap its giant Goliat field in the Barents Sea, the Italian operator announced today. Sevan's innovative round rig had been squaring up to an Aker Condeep MonoFloater design (Geostationary FPSO) in a design race for the Goliat field. Now Eni has revealed that Goliat will be developed using subsea wells linked to the circular Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility.
