Newfield Exploration is testing an appraisal well on its Lufeng 7-2-1 (LF 7-2-1) oil discovery in Block 17/08 in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, China. The LF 7-1-1 appraisal well is designed to test an independent four-way closure downthrown of the LF 7-2-1 oil find, said Newfield.
