Nexen said it generated record cash flow of $4.2 Bn in 2008 and earnings of $1.7 Bn on the back of strong production from its Buzzard field in the UK North Sea and record commodity prices during the year. The company said it invested $702m in the UK last year, including $250m in Buzzard and added 29m boe of proved reserves.
