Reliable, available and maintainable subsea systems are best achieved by using powerful analytical tools and an integrated systems approach at every stage of development. There is a significant difference between proactive versus reactive reliability design engineering. This difference can provide improved system performance as measured in production uptime as well as the inspiration for new designs that can provide step changes in technology.
