This paper discusses the application of Concentric Fluid Loss Control Devices (C-FLCDs) in the sandfacernsections of dual-zone selective intelligent completions. Specific focus is placed on the need for increasedrnreliability in debris environments over traditional Ball Valve Fluid Loss Control Devices (BV-FLCDs).rnHistoric Non-Planned Time (NPT) events due to debris deposition above BV-FLCDs promptedrnconsideration of alternative FLCD technology that would be more debris tolerant. Technologies consideredrnneeded to support features such as: bi-directional pressure integrity for zonal isolation, remote actuation forrnreservoir communication and integration with intelligent completion hardware.
