(c)Balance's Dynamic Annular Pressure Control (DAPC) system has revitalized drilling in existing fields for continued development and opened new ones for exploration while providing a high level of return for its customers. It was the first automated system approved by the US Minerals Management Service for managed-pressure drilling (MPD) use on a deepwater Gulf of Mexico platform and later received that agency's first ever approval for static under-balanced drilling in deep water.
