The changing skylines of our major conurbations paint a most exciting picture. Iconic landmark projects will potentially adorn most of our cities, not least London, as the 2012 Olympics approach. However, building taller and more complex structures, often accompanied by deeper and intricate basements, raises many questions about fire safety in relation to fire-resistant ductwork installations. Those involved in the selection of fire-resistant ductwork need to considera number of crucial factors: will the system meet fire testing regulations? Will the system be third-party accredited? Does the supplier have a proven track record of real project experience?
