GRAVE SECRETS

An unusual situation arose at foundation stage of a development adjacent to a vicarage in a long-disused part of a cemetery at Dalton-in-Furness. A preliminary shallow dig revealed differential bearing and, yes, you guessed it, there was a shallow grave, occupied by a skeleton. Some disturbance of the remains was inevitable not being aware of the presence of the grave, and as soon as it became apparent that we had unearthed more than the odd bone which inevitably turn up in these locations, work was halted. So far, so good! The plot now thickens.
