According to a report from Viet Nam News, Vietnam will ban all imports of used electronic devices. Starting Dec. 15, the ban will cover an array of products, including laptops, tablets, mobile phones and monitors. U.K.-based Axion Consulting will work with medical imaging equipment manufacturer Philips to examine the benefits of using refurbished medical imaging and ultrasound equipment at hospitals. The project will last six months and could point to major cost-savings for hospitals, Axion says.
