The annual Unionplast assem-bly did not offer particularly heartening information on the future of the plastics industry in Italy.The President Mr Franco Muscara held a round table together with the President of Assoplast Mr Piero Raffaelli,and the President of Corepla Mr Vittorio Ghisolfi.They did not conceal the fears that still envelop the sector;including the high prices of raw materials and stagnant demand.But the overall impression that emerged for participants to events at the assembly that were open to the public,is one of a pipeline that is moving as one,aware that a coordinated approach to problem solving could be the key to the industry's future.
