Resolute Forest Products plans to close its pulp and paper mill in Shawinigan, QC, citing fber costs among other fac- tors. At capacity, the 126-year-old Lau- rentide printing paper mill consumes about 360,000 green tons/yr of soft- wood chips and roundwood.
