With greater emphasis on early detection and better treatment of cancer, the population of cancer survivors has doubled over the last several decades and will continue to grow substantially in the upcoming years [1]. However, while successes in mortality have been observed and appropriately lauded, cancer survivors often suffer long-term effects from their treatment and experience significant symptom burden in the following years. Numerous studies have been conducted in attempts to characterize the nature and frequency of such symptoms, and these are summarized in the review by Harrington et al. [2]. The effort undertaken by the authors is essential in defining the health problems experienced by cancer survivors in order to address their health care needs.
